Parents & Family Council

Dear ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Families,

On behalf of the Parents & Family Council, welcome to ÐÓ°É´«Ã½! Established in 1963, our council is one of the oldest parent leadership organizations in higher education, reflecting a long-standing tradition of family engagement, partnership, and support.

We invite you to join the Parents & Family Council with an unrestricted gift of $5,000 or more to the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Annual Fund. Through the Council, families have the opportunity to connect with one another, engage with campus leadership, and enhance the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ experience for their students. Our involvement has deepened our own connection to the College and enriched our families in meaningful ways.

Together we welcome you into this remarkable community and wish you and your student a most successful year at ÐÓ°É´«Ã½!

With warm regards,

Lee Saufley ’87 P’25

Our Mission

Parents & Family Council members share a commitment to advancing ÐÓ°É´«Ã½â€™ mission of delivering a high-quality liberal arts education. They support the College through advocacy, engagement, and philanthropy, while serving as ambassadors in their communities. Members also provide valuable insight into the family experience and foster an inclusive, welcoming environment for all.

Membership

The generosity and engagement of parents have long been essential to the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ experience. By joining the Parents & Family Council, families become part of a dynamic community committed to supporting students and advancing the College’s mission. Through their involvement and support, members strengthen the value of a ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ education and contribute to the continued success and distinction of the College.

With bold and ambitious goals, parent leadership plays a critical role in sustaining excellence. Council members help ensure the College continues to attract exceptional students and delivers a rigorous and transformative academic experience.

Philanthropy

Members of the Parents & Family Council demonstrate their philanthropic leadership through an annual unrestricted gift of $5,000 or more to the ÐÓ°É´«Ã½ Annual Fund, designated to either the Area of Greatest Need or Financial Aid, by December 31 each year.

These gifts provide immediate and meaningful impact that serve to support students where the need is greatest and advance the College’s mission.

Additional philanthropic contributions may be directed toward other priorities and initiatives across ÐÓ°É´«Ã½, allowing families to align their giving with areas of personal interest.

Members may even choose to double their impact with a matching corporate gift.
